Hi there, you lovely people, you!
How are you? Coping well with the obvious prominence of Autumn? Dark by 7.00pm, cold winds and sometimes it never seems to get light?
Know just what you mean!
And, with it, is your sleep pattern slipping slightly? I know it does me….
As we age, our sleep patterns can change, leading to various health issues. I did (and can still do) me and, as part of my ongoing month of sleep during October, here’s another few tips you can use to improve your sleep.
And in this issue, I’m looking at how it affects women over 45. For instance did you know….
The importance of sleep for hormonal balance: Sleep plays a crucial role in regulating hormones like estrogen and progesterone. And anyone that’s hitting perimenopause or flow blown menopause knows just what effects this two little hormone blighters can have.
The link between sleep and weight management: Did you realise that not getting the sleep you need can have an effect on keeping your weight at a healthy level. As if we needed anything else to stop the pounds piling on!
A recent study published in the Journal of Sleep Research found that women over 45 who prioritize sleep are less likely to experience anxiety and depression.
You may not need telling, but because of experiencing the most horrendous insomnia and sleep disturbance which I wholly place at the door of menopause, I’ve managed to regain good sleep after a number of years and have logged it all in an e-book you can download here
In the book I list all the hacks and tips I rate and tried and all the tips that worked for me alongside the ones that didn’t, because what works for one……
If you do buy the book and you find it helps you, I’d love to hear how your experiences.
You can reply to this newsletter, and it will find me.
So, here’s to a kind Autumn with a chance to enjoy and welcome the changing season.
Till a fortnight’s time
