Happy New Year, lovely readers!

I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas and New Year break, and that you’re facing 2023 refreshed and raring to go?

The new year stretching ahead of us is exciting and, if you’re anything like me, you are chock-full of ideas and wanting to spring from the traps and implement them all. And that can relate to not just work, but things in your personal life.

And, like me, you want to go hell for leather to get them started.

But. can I insert a note of caution please? In previous years, I’ve done this - had a mad, mad January and February and worked myself silly (and all the angst that comes with that as well) and by March I’ve been approaching burnout with all my enthusiasm (and energy) disappearing, leaving me listless and disillusioned. If not ill as well!

So, this year, I’m going to be more calculated in what I do and pace myself. Organisation will be key (something that doesn’t come naturally to me, sadly) and I will set reasonable objectives for each month. Things that I’d like to achieve and stuff that is done at a reasonable pace. Not the mad-cap, exhausting pace I usually set myself.

I also spoke about this very topic on a recent Facebook Live I did in my closed 45 Not Out Community Group. This is the video you can see at the top. I go into more detail about what slowing the pace can do for you alongside carving out some very much deserved “me-time” in your weekly schedule.

The video is just over 14 mins long, so you can sit down with a brew to watch. And, if you’d like to be part of the fab and growing 45 Not Out Community Group, then you can request entry here - it would be great to have more fab, fab women on board!

So, that’s it from me for a fortnight

Stay safe, warm & well till then

Una x
